Job Description
The technical lead for battery energy storage systems (BESS) will guide development projects, focusing on system architecture, hardware-software concepts, and regulatory compliance, while collaborating with various teams and partners to optimize costs and support product lifecycle management.
Responsibilities
- •Develop system architectures for battery energy storage systems (BESS) and document related materials.
- •Act as a technical expert in battery and photovoltaic (PV) systems.
- •Provide expertise and guidance to support Technical Service and Training teams.
- •Identify and coordinate work packages with internal departments and external partners.
- •Collaborate with Purchasing to monitor and optimize costs for components and subsystems.
- •Support the planning, organization, and documentation of certification processes for compliance.
Requirements
- •Master's degree in electrical engineering, energy management systems, or a related field.
- •Expert knowledge and solid experience in developing electrical energy storage technologies, including integration with PV systems, battery storage, charging infrastructure, inverter technology, and e-mobility.
- •Long term, detailed knowledge in hardware and software development for battery PV systems.
- •Applied knowledge in lifecycle management and proficiency with tools such as Siemens Polarion and Atlassian Jira.
- •Proficiency in English at C1 level.
- •German language skills at B2 level preferred.
- •Experience in working along the V-Model.
