Job Description
The Shift Supervisor at Enviva is responsible for leading and managing production shifts to ensure efficient and safe operations, including task assignment, productivity monitoring, and quality maintenance. This role requires overseeing employee performance, maintaining safety standards, and addressing any production issues that arise.
Responsibilities
- •Lead and manage the shift to ensure efficient and safe operations
- •Assign tasks and monitor productivity
- •Maintain high-quality output
- •Address issues on the production floor
- •Ensure safe use and maintenance of equipment
- •Provide regular reports on production progress
- •Manage day-to-day operations delivering key performance indicators
- •Maintain documentation on employee performance
- •Ensure a safe working environment
- •Enforce good housekeeping standards
- •Provide direction to team regarding duties and goals
- •Ensure timely and accurate paperwork status reporting
- •Conduct daily communications and shift meetings
- •Perform work assigned by the Production Manager
Requirements
- •Minimum of 2 years industrial manufacturing experience with a wood products background.
- •Must be proficient in basic computer knowledge.
- •Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
- •Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- •Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- •Must be a team player.
- •Must be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
- •Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment.
- •Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
- •Ability to work evenings, weekends, and overnight to address unexpected site issues.
- •Must be able to push, pull and lift items up to 50 lbs.
- •Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
