Job Description
The Solar Activation Technician at PosiGen is responsible for coordinating and performing the activation of solar PV systems, ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service, and collaborating with installation teams and subcontractors as needed.
Responsibilities
- •Coordinate and perform commission activation of solar PV systems.
- •Perform necessary work for activation of the system and coordinate with technicians or subcontractors.
- •Open electrical and solar equipment as required for activation.
- •Interact with customers daily and represent PosiGen to high standards.
- •Use application-based platform to capture photos and upload to project management database.
- •Provide daily updates and reporting on project status.
- •Communicate with town officials and customers to schedule inspection dates.
- •Contact and schedule with customers and homeowners.
- •Assist installation teams as needed.
- •Follow organization policies and procedures including OSHA requirements.
- •Complete OSHA training as required.
- •Attend organization, safety, and other training and meetings as required.
Requirements
- •High School or Trade School degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences, engineering or architecture is preferred.
- •Electrical experience highly preferred.
- •Experience and knowledge of solar power energy field is highly preferred.
- •Ability for and no fear of working from ladders, scaffolding or working in confined spaces such as crawl spaces or attics, under mobile homes.
- •The ability to read plans, specifications, diagrams, equipment submittals, and material data sheets.
- •Awareness of illegal or damaged electrical equipment and awareness of unsafe working conditions.
- •Must possess a valid state driver's license and clean driving record.
- •Ability to meet insurability requirements for the company's automobile insurance policy.
- •Complete OSHA training as required.
- •Follow organization policies and procedures including OSHA requirements.
