Job Description
The Accounting Intern will assist the accounting team with full cycle accounts payable, timely bill entry, and support monthly close processes while gaining hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities
- •Full cycle accounts payable for solar construction and development projects
- •Review purchase requisitions for internal approval and documentation
- •Remit purchase orders
- •Submit vendor invoices into accounting system accurately and timely
- •Ensure invoices are coded correctly for financial statements
- •Respond to invoice, purchase requisition, and payment inquiries
- •Review and analyze contracts for payment terms and conditions
- •Assist in setting up new vendors with accurate tax and banking information
- •Support month-end close and prepare reconciliations
- •Contribute to ad hoc accounting and accounts payable projects
Requirements
- •Enrolled in a bachelor's or associate's level degree program, majoring in Accounting.
- •Desire to pursue an accounting career path.
- •Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
- •Exceptional attention to detail and the organizational capacity to manage multiple projects/tasks with competing deadlines.
- •A proven ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable service, data, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- •Must be self-motivated and enjoy a team-oriented cross-functional work environment.
- •Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- •Demonstrated qualities of integrity, credibility, and fiduciary responsibility.
