Job Description
The Engineering Manager at Celonis will lead a team of engineers within the Process Query Engine team, overseeing their performance and fostering collaboration to achieve strategic goals. This role requires a strong technical background in software engineering and people management to ensure the effective execution of projects and the growth of team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage execution and performance of the engineering team
- Facilitate career growth and performance of team members
- Build and maintain a culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to technical work as needed
- Collaborate with Product Managers and other leads on goals and strategies
- Set priorities and ensure timely and quality delivery of projects
- Participate in hiring and growing the team according to business needs
- Advocate for the team and provide visibility of their work
Requirements
- Strong technical background in software engineering, with experience in building, leading, or operating large-scale, high-performance, reliable resilient distributed systems.
- Proven track record in people management, including fostering a supportive and inclusive team culture, mentoring, and coaching to facilitate high performance and career growth.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders, such as product management and business teams, to define vision, goals, and prioritize initiatives.
- Dedication to addressing the evolving needs of engineering teams and a focus on engineering and process excellence.
- Proficiency in Java microservices architecture.
- Expertise in distributed systems.
