Job Description
The role involves leading a team in the development of new battery materials technologies, advancing them from concept to product introduction, while fostering industry partnerships and cultivating academic collaborations to enhance innovation in clean energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of cross-disciplinary scientists and engineers to develop and iterate new materials.
- Develop industry partnerships to validate product-market fit and business opportunities.
- Win external government agency funding to support new materials technologies.
- Cultivate relationships with academic collaborators to enhance expertise and recruit talent.
- Provide inspirational leadership and model company values.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent research experience with a focus in materials science, chemistry, physics, or related field and 10 years of industry experience
- 7 years managing deeply technical cross-disciplinary teams with demonstrated success moving ideas from concept stage to product scale-up
- 7 years evaluating technical and business feasibility of new technologies
- Ability to move long distances e.g. building to building and be stationary for periods of time
- Ability to operate office equipment laptop, copier printer, etc in a fixed location
- Need to be physically present in our Alameda offices
- Regular Shift Monday - Friday, 9 00am - 6 00pm
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $185,000 - $262,000
Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
