Job Description
The Shift Supervisor at Enviva is responsible for managing day-to-day operations in the woodyard, ensuring safety, quality, production, and cost performance while leading a team and maintaining documentation on employee performance.
Responsibilities
- •Manage day-to-day operations of the woodyard
- •Maintain documentation on employee performance and accountability
- •Ensure a safe working environment
- •Enforce good housekeeping standards
- •Provide direction to team regarding duties and goals
- •Ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork
- •Facilitate daily communications and shift meetings
- •Perform work assigned by Production Manager
Requirements
- •High school diploma or equivalent education.
- •Two (2) to three (3) years of industrial manufacturing experience, specifically in wood products.
- •Must be proficient in basic computer knowledge.
- •Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
- •Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- •Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- •Must be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
- •Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment.
- •Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
- •Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
- •Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery.
- •Willing and able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
- •Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
