Job Description
The Business Services Team Manager at Canonical is responsible for overseeing travel, logistics, event planning, and administrative operations, ensuring efficient execution of large-scale company events and adherence to expense policies. This role requires strong leadership, decision-making skills, and the ability to manage complex operations in a fast-paced tech environment.
Responsibilities
- •Lead travel approvals, logistics, and operations
- •Review expenses in line with policies
- •Plan complex company events four times a year
- •Manage company offices providing executive briefing and operational facilities
- •Oversee global duty of care and health and safety programs
- •Coordinate with suppliers and handle delegated approvals for travel and expenses
- •Schedule meetings and coordinate monthly reports
- •Run small projects or initiatives
Requirements
- •An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
- •An undergraduate degree in a technical or business subject.
- •Demonstrable good judgement in matters involving money, policy and in-person interactions.
- •Ability to work in a global, multicultural organisation.
- •Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility.
- •Responsibility, accountability, thoughtfulness and self-awareness.
- •Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments.
- •Ability to travel up to four times a year, for company events up to two weeks long.
- •Leadership and management skills.
