Job Description
The Electrical Systems Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading the electrical design, development, and integration of a new sustainable energy product at Redwood Materials, while managing a team of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- •Lead and execute the electrical system design and development of a new large-scale sustainable energy product from concept to deployment.
- •Select power conversion products and balance of system components, collaborating with suppliers and vendors.
- •Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and systems engineers for seamless product integration.
- •Manage engineering projects to deliver on project goals and timelines.
- •Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performance electrical engineering team.
- •Stay updated on industry advancements and ensure designs comply with relevant standards.
Requirements
- •BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- •7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus in batteries, renewable energy systems, or similar large-scale projects.
- •Proven track record as a senior electrical engineer, with hands-on design, prototyping, and testing experience in building products at scale.
- •Experience in Altium or related E-CAD software.
- •Strong leadership and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives.
- •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with all levels of the organization and present to internal and external executives.
