Job Description
The position involves working closely with clients in the utilities sector to implement GIS technology solutions that enhance their business operations. The role requires providing technical guidance, managing projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful geospatial capabilities.
Responsibilities
- •Help clients translate real-world needs into GIS technology-driven solutions.
- •Prepare multi-year GIS implementation and migration strategies.
- •Collect, organize, and present client requirements and business workflows.
- •Analyze and interpret business and technical problems into practical solutions.
- •Provide GIS technical guidance and advice.
- •Lead project teams during requirements, analysis, design, build, and rollout.
- •Create and manage project scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables.
- •Track project performance and report on status.
- •Manage subcontractors and client relationships.
- •Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop new business.
Requirements
- •8 years of significant, proven experience applying GIS technology within electric and gas utilities sector.
- •Domain expertise throughout the electric and gas utilities market including electric and/or gas distribution and transmission.
- •Experience with Esri products to solve complex business problems.
- •Familiarity with RDBMS and geodatabase design techniques and concepts.
- •Demonstrated professional experience applying electric and gas utilities GIS data management frameworks.
- •Knowledge of software development methodologies.
- •Ability to develop project designs, work plans, budgets, and schedules.
- •Experience with desktop, client server, and Internet applications, and architectures.
- •Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and leadership skills.
- •Bachelor's in information systems, GIS, computer science, or relevant field.
