Job Description
The Sr. Electrical Engineer at Astrodyne TDI will lead the development of advanced power conversion products, overseeing the design, testing, and documentation processes while collaborating with internal teams and customers to meet performance and reliability standards.
Responsibilities
- •Design and develop advanced power conversion systems and products.
- •Create detailed electrical circuit schematic diagrams and part lists.
- •Conduct component stress analyses and compute Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF).
- •Lead debug testing and design verification testing of prototypes.
- •Collaborate on the mechanical design aspects of products.
- •Oversee product reliability assurance testing.
- •Manage the creation and maintenance of essential engineering documentation.
- •Work closely with the New Product Introduction team for project transfers and testing phases.
- •Provide technical support to the sales team during the bidding process.
- •Deliver technical presentations to management and technical staff.
- •Mentor and train junior members of the engineering team.
Requirements
- •A Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- •At least five years of experience in development activities focused on electronic power conversion products, including a proven track record with switch-mode power supply designs.
- •Proficiency in design tools such as PSpice and Mathcad.
- •Experience in resolving EMC issues and, preferably, in high-frequency magnetic component design and microcontroller circuits for power electronics.
