Job Description
The Director of Survey at Atwell, LLC will lead survey projects, manage client relationships, and drive business development while ensuring project excellence and team mentorship within a dynamic consulting and engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- •Develop and execute an annual Project Manager Business Plan for survey efforts.
- •Collaborate with clients and management to define project objectives and create proposals.
- •Negotiate and secure contractual agreements with clients before project kick-off.
- •Manage project invoicing and accounts receivable collection.
- •Foster internal communication and encourage dialogue across teams.
- •Cultivate strong client relationships and address concerns promptly.
- •Drive business growth through marketing support and client relationship nurturing.
- •Maintain efficient project documentation using web-based software.
- •Coach, counsel, and mentor team members for their professional growth.
- •Ensure adherence to quality standards with accurate project inputs.
- •Stay updated with industry trends and participate in professional societies.
- •Achieve performance objectives related to chargeability, invoicing ratio, and revenue goals.
- •Apply fundamental survey and engineering concepts independently.
- •Organize the project team and assign responsibilities.
- •Analyze project information and trends to ensure objectives are met.
- •Manage budgets, schedules, expenditures, and invoicing.
- •Report project outcomes to management for continuous improvement.
- •Work with stakeholders to define timeframes, budgets, and project schedules.
- •Contribute to a team-oriented environment to achieve collective results.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in a related field surveying, engineering, or similar is required.
- •Proven experience in survey project management and leadership roles.
- •Ability to independently apply fundamental engineering, environmental, land planning, and survey concepts.
- •Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with strong listening abilities.
- •Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- •Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- •Strong business acumen and ability to contribute to business development efforts.
