Job Description
The GIS Subject Matter Expert will leverage their expertise in Esri technology to advise customers on complex business challenges, create innovative GIS solutions, and support sales strategies while building relationships and presenting technical demonstrations.
Responsibilities
- •Build relationships and support selling Esri software and solutions.
- •Become a subject matter expert of local government and a technical expert of ArcGIS.
- •Proactively craft and propose solutions that demonstrate GIS business value.
- •Define and deliver strategies that align Esri technology with customer business needs.
- •Present technical demonstrations and design presentations for various audiences.
- •Provide best practices for the use, deployment, and administration of Esri technology.
Requirements
- •3 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
- •1 year of experience working in or supporting state or local government.
- •Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- •Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes.
- •Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology.
- •Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments including Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- •Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- •Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- •Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
