Job Description
The job involves collaborating with subject matter experts to understand business processes and reporting needs, translating them into data requirements, and implementing data sources for Educational Services reporting and analytics. Responsibilities include data modeling, ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity and accuracy while working with tools like Power BI and SQL Server.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with subject matter experts to understand business processes and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with data owners to implement new data sources for reporting and analytics.
- Integrate source data using APIs, flat files, and databases.
- Ensure data structures comply with enterprise data guidelines and security policies.
- Model data into star schema tables using ETL processes.
- Create and modify Power BI datasets and guide report developers on data access.
- Monitor ETL jobs and resolve issues to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
- Perform data quality checks to ensure consistency.
- Document data elements, models, dependencies, and relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study.
- Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained.
- Demonstrated experience with SQL Server management.
- Demonstrated experience with ETL Development.
- Demonstrated experience with Star Schema data modeling.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure Synapse.
- Demonstrated experience with C and Python.
Benefits & Perks
Base salary range: 88,608 - 110,000 USD
Minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave
