Job Description
The Portfolio Finance Senior Analyst at Clearway will support the investor funding process for utility-scale wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects, while also engaging in asset optimization transactions such as refinancings and acquisitions. This role requires collaboration with various departments and external stakeholders to ensure successful transaction execution and financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the investor funding process for utility-scale wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects.
- Assist in asset optimization transactions including refinancings and acquisitions.
- Update tax equity tracking models to monitor investor returns and financial outcomes.
- Lead the cash distribution waterfall process for operating projects.
- Establish and maintain relationships across major departments to ensure timely transaction closings.
- Collaborate with lenders, investors, and consultants during funding and operating transactions.
- Summarize project transaction status and associated economic outcomes for senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-4 years of experience in project finance, portfolio finance, or M&A in the energy sector for Analyst level.
- 4-6 years of experience in project finance, portfolio finance, or M&A in the energy sector for Senior Analyst level.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and understanding of key financial concepts such as discounted cash flow analysis, time value of money, internal rate of return, and net present value.
- Experience building, auditing, and/or updating complex project finance models, with the ability to quickly generate summary economics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of projects and assignments.
- Understanding of financial, tax, accounting, and investment concepts.

Compensation/salary range: Analyst $80,000 - $110,000, Senior Analyst $110,000 - $118,000
Work schedule: Hybrid, office-based employees work together from Tuesday to Thursday
