Job Description
The Senior Associate, ETRM Trading Systems will focus on implementing and managing an Energy Trade Risk Management system, providing data management and trading analytics for Clearway's renewable energy assets. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations, accurate data flow, and ongoing support for trading and risk management activities.
Responsibilities
- •Lead PCI modeling processes for ISO transactions and PPA contract modeling within the ETRM framework.
- •Oversee the complete trade deal lifecycle and ensure accurate sourcing of inputs for trade creation.
- •Facilitate data integration between ETRM, settlements systems, and other sources for ISO-facing and PPA transactions.
- •Gather and analyze requirements for various Physical Financial Deal Types and related reports.
- •Manage daily commercial operations and data flow across Clearway trading systems.
- •Develop and maintain technical documentation for ETRM and associated platforms.
- •Support accurate booking of accruals and invoices within the accounting ecosystem.
- •Act as a liaison between trading, risk management, ETRM, and settlements teams to resolve issues.
- •Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including trading desks and risk management.
- •Develop and maintain dashboards using PowerBI for ETRM metrics and reporting.
- •Collaborate with the Asset and Energy Management team on analytics, reporting, and due diligence requests.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- •Proven experience of 5 years in ETRM and Bid-to-Bill systems; PCI preferred, Allegro, Adapt2, or other.
- •Advanced proficiency in PCI modeling and other relevant ETRM software platforms.
- •Experience in one or more US power markets: CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, NEISO, and MISO.
- •Comfortable pulling and analyzing large amounts of data and ability to understand database structures and SQL queries.
- •Understanding of data flow between any of the commercial operations systems, energy commodity transactions, trading, settlements, scheduling, and market operations.
- •Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a demonstrated aptitude for stakeholder management.
- •Experience developing and deploying financial models in MS Excel using VBA.
- •Experience developing and maintaining BI tools; Power BI or Spotfire experience is highly preferred.
- •Ability to plan and manage multiple priorities while committed to deadlines in a demanding environment.
