Job Description

The Senior Project Manager, Development at Arevon will oversee the development of multiple utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, managing budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relationships while leading project teams through various stages of development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple projects or project teams through development.
  • Set project and portfolio priorities based on risk and opportunity targets.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets.
  • Quantify project risks and opportunities using cost benefit analysis.
  • Manage project balance sheets including all PR, PO, and CO.
  • Lead land acquisition efforts and develop strategies for implementation.
  • Manage engineering, procurement, and construction efforts.
  • Identify project risks, mitigants, opportunities, and action plans.
  • Collaborate in the negotiation of development agreements.
  • Monitor Generation Interconnection studies and participate in negotiations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to support project development.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development with demonstrated progression of project management responsibility.
  • Thorough understanding of the power markets such as WECC, CAISO, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, NYISO and SERC as well as region specific interconnection and project permitting processes.
  • Must have led at least one project through construction or tax equity financial close.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in engineering, mathematics, business, finance, economics, environmental sciences or similar discipline.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and associated applications including MS Project, Excel, Teams, Power BI.
  • Must be able to create and continuously maintain detailed project schedules and budgets.
  • Desire to speak to internal and external audiences of 30 people, with well-polished platform skills.
  • Self-starter with a natural aptitude demonstrating strong intercultural communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
