Job Description
The Health and Safety Manager at Arevon is responsible for developing and implementing health and safety procedures across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and conducting site inspections. This role involves supporting the Director of Health Safety, managing vendor relationships, and providing training programs to maintain a safe work environment in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, oversee, and implement health and safety procedures, processes, and policies.
- Conduct regular inspections of sites for compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Monitor health and safety targets, KPIs, policies, and procedures.
- Travel for site visits and meetings with stakeholders.
- Perform investigations and root cause analyses of recordable events.
- Support vendor management and review cost proposals and work plans.
- Assist in purchasing and maintaining necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Develop and update risk assessments in conjunction with site personnel.
- Manage training programs and maintain training records.
- Monitor regulatory agencies for updates on laws or best practices.
- Support site safety committee meetings and prepare relevant materials.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for electrical safety on-site.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in an O M position.
- Demonstrated expertise in health and safety programs such as LOTO, QEW, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
- A Bachelor s degree in Health and Safety or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
