Job Description
The Associate, Corporate Structured Finance role at Coast involves facilitating financial analysis and reporting to improve the company's financial outcomes, supporting corporate finance, project finance, and treasury functions. The position requires developing financial models, managing reporting activities, and collaborating with senior management to drive decision-making in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all reporting activity, including sponsor reporting and investment committee memos.
- Maintain and improve corporate financial models for capital strategy management.
- Reconcile project-level data with ERP and Excel portfolio analysis models.
- Drive improvements to tax equity and related models in collaboration with the CFO.
- Support continuous improvement in project-level pricing models.
- Develop benchmarks and key performance indicators for financial performance.
- Optimize the Company’s capital stack and manage liquidity planning.
- Identify financing gaps and strategies to bridge them.
- Track and report debt and tax equity compliance.
- Create and maintain models for future project spending and budget reconciliation.
- Research industry developments and provide management with insights.
Requirements
- 3 years experience as an associate at an investment bank or private equity firm focused on financial services, energy or similar.
- 3 years of solar project finance experience with a strong preference for experience in the commercial and industrial solar sector.
- Strong technical Excel modeling skills, including extended timeframe modeling of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Flexible to work extended hours as needed to deliver projects on time.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
