Job Description
The Procurement Sourcing Manager, Strategic Procurement Wind is responsible for managing vendor selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing contract administration specifically for wind industry projects, while collaborating with various internal teams to support procurement strategies and maintain relationships with EPC contractors.
Responsibilities
- •Facilitate requests for proposals and vendor selection for wind EPC agreements.
- •Negotiate contracts and manage ongoing contract administration.
- •Maintain strategic relationships with key vendors and manage EPC contracts.
- •Support bidding and contracting efforts for balance of plant services.
- •Document price forecasts for BOP costs and key commodities.
- •Analyze market trends to inform procurement strategies.
- •Review contract scopes to ensure clarity and alignment.
- •Interface with EPC contractors for market intelligence.
- •Perform EPC performance reviews to assess risks and opportunities.
- •Manage the development of RFP documentation and bidding strategies.
- •Evaluate bid responses for compliance and consistency.
- •Negotiate EPC agreements regarding scope, price, and terms.
- •Track and report on cost movements during negotiations.
- •Engage with cross-functional teams on equipment supply issues.
- •Support internal resolution on material changes to agreements.
- •Assist with project financing processes and inputs from teams.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in contract management, procurement, engineering, or related field required.
- •Eight or more years of wind EPC contracting experience and in-depth understanding of turbine technology is required.
- •Repower contracting and negotiations experience in Wind industry projects is required.
- •Ability to travel up to 15% is required.
- •Project management skills working with large-scale wind development projects is required.
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an understanding of contract language, is required.
- •Proficient in MS SharePoint, MS Office package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and document control is required.
- •A minimum of two or more years of solar and BESS or other related experience is required.
