Job Description
The Manager, Environmental is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations for Clearway's Construction and Operations Maintenance facilities, focusing on hazardous waste management, spill prevention, and environmental permitting across a specific U.S. region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on environmental requirements to Facility and Construction Management.
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permit requirements.
- Manage implementation of environmental permitting and compliance measures.
- Create and train personnel on compliance monitoring programs.
- Manage external consultants, including budget and deliverables.
- Perform quality control and content review of consultant documents.
- Maintain knowledge of environmental regulations affecting facility operations.
- Update management on changes in environmental regulations.
- Provide corrective action recommendations.
- Administer and enforce corporate environmental policies and standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in environmental compliance engineering in wind and/or solar energy industry.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Life Sciences or a related science.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required.
- Working knowledge and experience with Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act as related to the construction and operation of renewable energy projects.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and perform effectively in a very unstructured work environment without close supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent technical and organizational skills.
- Clearway will not sponsor nonimmigrant visas for this position H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.
Benefits & Perks
Salary Range: 106,000 - 158,000 USD
Hybrid work schedule with office-based collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays
