Job Description
The Associate Director, Renewable Energy Data Solutions will lead the strategy and implementation of a database framework to organize and manage quantitative and qualitative data within Euclid Power, enhancing data accessibility for stakeholders in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and framework for creating a database for industry and project information.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop a strategy for capturing and organizing data.
- Implement a database strategy and framework to utilize quantitative and qualitative data.
- Develop short, medium, and long-term plans for ETL processes.
- Guide the expansion of the database by capturing and managing qualitative data.
- Collaborate on an internal knowledge management program and create user-friendly interfaces.
- Train internal users on the database interface and solicit feedback for improvements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of project analysts.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, computer science, and/or information systems, preferably within the renewable energy or construction sectors.
- Minimum of 4 years of direct experience in renewable energy project development, acquisitions, and operations.
- Deep understanding of the renewable energy industry, including data sources and industry-specific analytics and data points.
- Experience in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with big data tools and frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to work with complex datasets, perform data validation, and user interfaces.
- Familiarity with programming in languages such as Python, Java, and/or Scala.
- Excellent communication skills, including an ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including demonstrated experience using creative solutions to unforeseen problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships with different types of personalities.
- A self-starter looking to take ownership of a problem, create a strategy, and lead the technical and non-technical aspects of implementation.
