Job Description
The Senior Controls Software Engineer will develop machine and operational concepts, create robust system architectures for control components, and oversee projects from design through commissioning and validation, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the equipment lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- •Develop machine and operational concepts in collaboration with R&D staff and engineering peers
- •Create a robust system architecture to support all controls components such as PLCs, safety devices, HMIs, and servo drives
- •Work from initial design through commissioning, operational fine-tuning, and validation to ensure reliable system function
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the equipment life cycle
- •Integrate software into software testbeds, hardware testbeds, and tools with simulation and test engineers
Requirements
- •Experience in developing machine and operational concepts in collaboration with R&D staff and engineering peers.
- •Proven ability to create a robust system architecture to support all controls components such as PLCs, safety devices, HMIs, and servo drives.
- •Experience working from initial design through commissioning, operational fine-tuning, and validation to ensure that all systems function reliably and meet their design goals.
- •Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the entire life cycle of the equipment and its operation.
- •Experience integrating software into software testbeds, hardware testbeds, and tools.
