Job Description
The Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer will design and test analog mixed-signal integrated circuits, including data converters and RF front-end electronics, while collaborating within a project team in a research and development environment. The role involves all aspects of IC design, from architecture development to circuit measurement and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and test analog mixed-signal integrated circuits including data converters and RF front-end electronics.
- Push limits of circuit performance and translate new concepts into circuit implementations.
- Develop architecture, demonstrate circuit concepts, and perform transistor-level design and simulation.
- Conduct circuit measurement and interact with customers.
Requirements
- 6 years actively involved with design and testing of mixed-signal integrated circuits in bipolar and FET technologies.
- Experience with laboratory test equipment and characterization of mixed-signal IC and devices, where validation of circuit concepts in a laboratory environment is encouraged.
- Familiarity with semiconductor IC technologies.
- Understanding of circuit design techniques, semiconductor device physics, signal processing, control theory, and communications theory.
- Familiarity with low power and low noise design techniques.
- Use of typical IC design CAD environments including Cadence and behavioral level simulation tools such as Matlab Simulink.
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
