Job Description
The Senior Project Engineer at Zeeco is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects, including equipment selection, scheduling, budgeting, and technical and commercial communications, to ensure timely delivery of quality products while coordinating between various departments and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Review shop order files and confirm scope of supply based on customer specifications and sales quotations
- Confirm equipment selection and design, perform calculations and sketches to establish equipment design
- Coordinate drafting activities and ensure completion of all required drawings
- Establish and track project cost budgets in collaboration with sales and cost specialists
- Maintain and manage delivery schedules based on customer requirements and company workloads
- Pre-order materials to meet delivery deadlines
- Inform Quality Control of customer job specifications
- Handle technical and commercial correspondence with customers, end users, sales reps, and consultants
- Instruct drafting and support staff on drawings to be sent to involved parties
- Notify departments of scope or design changes affecting pricing and coordinate price revisions with customers
- Update and revise shop order documentation and notify relevant departments for billing and administrative purposes
Requirements
- A B.S. degree in Construction Technology, Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with 6-10 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have personal computer skills.
