Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and developing sales opportunities within the power generation and industrial sectors, building relationships with industry personnel, and supporting aftermarket and project engineering activities related to Zeeco's power business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities for Power Plants, Refineries, Chemical, Pulp and Paper, and related industries.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry personnel and key decision makers.
  • Conduct site visits and travel within the assigned territory.
  • Seek out Power-Aftermarket opportunities and generate new leads.
  • Attend internal meetings and provide updates on customer base and sales potential.
  • Handle light Project Engineering tasks, including working with vendors and retrofitting equipment.
  • Gather technical information for product fitment and specifications.
  • Provide product advice and facilitate client needs through internal contacts.
  • Participate in negotiations and prepare quotes.
  • Represent the company at meetings, trade shows, and client entertainment activities.

Requirements

  • Experience in one or more of the following: steam generation, combustion, power-generation, boiler operation and maintenance, boiler sales, or services related to combustion products. Industry experience can be from any number of industries, with concession on experience in industry for the appropriate candidate.
  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate contracts, work with customers, make cold calls as needed, and speak confidently.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information.
  • Computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
  • Self-driven with strong organization and self-functioning skills, including the ability to work with little direction and oversight.
  • Focused and goal-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to operate within assigned territories, including calling on existing and potential customers, and traveling as required.
  • Ability to develop personal relationships with key decision makers within the territory.
  • Ability to actively seek out Power-Aftermarket opportunities, develop new relationships, leads, and industry potential.
  • Ability to attend internal meetings and provide updates on customer base, sales, and sales potential.
  • Capability to handle light Project Engineering tasks, which may include working with third-party manufacturing and vendors, outlining existing designs for retrofit, and gathering pertinent information for proper fitment such as sizing, voltage, and amperage.
  • Ability to assist in providing product advice and contacts within Zeeco to help clients' needs.
  • Participation in negotiations and quotes as needed.
  • Willingness to coordinate and attend meetings, trade shows, and entertainment activities with clients and coworkers.
