This role involves operating manual and CNC milling machines to fabricate parts, ensuring precision and safety, and supporting various fabrication tasks within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manual milling machines to fabricate parts according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
Set up and adjust machines, including installing and calibrating tools, attachments, and stops.
Cycle machines to produce parts and detect malfunctions or defective materials.
Inspect machined products and document inspection results.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
Complete and maintain paperwork related to parts production.
Assist in other fabrication and operational tasks such as lay-up, infiltration, furnace operations, and sand blasting.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of demonstrated experience with manual milling machines.
Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of demonstrated experience with machining on CNC lathes.
Candidates must be able to operate manual milling machines to fabricate parts, including loading parts, cycling the machine, detecting malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools, and maintaining specifications.

Candidates must be able to plan machining from work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and drawings.
Candidates must be able to set up and operate manual mills by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers.
Candidates must be able to program CNC lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, conditional switches, and calculations.
Candidates must verify settings and maintain specifications during machining operations.
Candidates must detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
Candidates must perform inspection of machined products and document results.
Candidates must complete and maintain paperwork for parts.
Candidates must maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
Candidates must be able to assist in other work areas to perform fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, furnace operations, and sand blasting tasks.
