Job Description

The Instrument and Controls Engineer - Vapor is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for combustion and environmental solutions, supporting industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, and power generation. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance within Zeeco's innovative and growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems for vapor combustion equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate control solutions into project designs.
  • Specify and select appropriate instrumentation and control components for projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, specifically in designing, engineering, and troubleshooting control systems.
  • Proficiency in designing, engineering, and commissioning control systems for combustion, incinerators, or environmental control systems.
  • Experience with control system hardware and software, including PLCs, DCS, and related instrumentation.
  • Ability to interpret and develop control system diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols related to instrumentation and controls in industrial environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Physical ability to perform site visits and inspections as required, including working in industrial environments.
