Job Description

The Instrument and Controls Engineer - Flares is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for flare and combustion applications, supporting Zeeco's mission to deliver innovative environmental and safety solutions in industries such as oil and gas and power generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, engineer, and troubleshoot instrument and control systems for flare applications
  • Develop and implement control strategies for combustion and environmental systems
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system integration and compliance with industry standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instrument and controls engineering, specifically related to flare systems or combustion systems.
  • Experience in designing, engineering, and troubleshooting control systems for flare and combustion applications.
  • Proficiency in control system software and programming languages relevant to instrument and controls engineering.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to environmental control systems, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to interpret and develop control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working with instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and control valves used in flare systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and risk assessments associated with control systems in industrial environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues related to instrument and control systems.
  • Physical ability to perform site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting activities at industrial facilities.
