Job Description

A Solution Architect responsible for designing and leading the development of secure, scalable, and integrated ICT solutions primarily using Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Azure, and related technologies, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to support public-sector environmental operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design secure, scalable, reliable, and high-quality information systems and technical architectures focusing on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams to produce architectural artifacts such as Business Needs Forms, Architectural Assessments, and Solution Options Documents.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to ICT developer teams, including delivering technical architecture design documents and data models.
  • Partner with ICT security teams to ensure solutions comply with cybersecurity and data protection standards.
  • Collaborate with GIS teams to integrate OpenLayers GeoServer WebGIS solutions into information systems.
  • Advise on technology upgrades, development tools, architectural standards, and long-term system evolution.
  • Develop and contribute to software development standards, guidelines, and policies.
  • Coach technical team members through architectural guidance, support, and quality control at all project stages.
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical designs.
  • Participate in an Agile Scrum environment, organizing work priorities and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
  • Provide third-line support for applications as needed.
  • Identify and implement technology upgrades and patch management to reduce technical debt.

Requirements

  • Design secure, scalable, reliable, and high-quality Information Systems and technical architectures with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, integrating with technologies such as MS SharePoint, .NET, JavaScript, SQL Server, and Azure cloud.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams to produce architectural artefacts including Business Needs Forms, Architectural Assessments, and Solution Options Documents.
  • Work closely with ICT Developer Teams to provide technical leadership, delivering artefacts such as Technical Architecture Design Documents and data models ERDs DRDs.
  • Partner with ICT Security teams to ensure solutions comply with cybersecurity and data-protection requirements.
  • Collaborate with ICT GIS teams on integrating OpenLayers GeoServer WebGIS solutions into information systems.
  • Advise on technology upgrades, development tools, architectural standards, and long-term system evolution.
  • Develop and contribute to software development standards, guidelines, and policies.
  • Coach technical team members by providing support, architectural guidance, and quality control at all project stages.

  • Work with internal public-sector teams and external ICT contractors in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with non-technical business users.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Scrum Agile methodologies.
  • Experience designing enterprise-grade solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and related MS Azure ecosystems.
  • Experience working in or with public sector organisations, ideally in the environmental or similar domain.
  • Background implementing ICT projects in the environmental or similar domain.
