Job Description
A Senior Data Engineer responsible for designing and building scalable data models, pipelines, and applications on Snowflake, supporting AI and data-driven product features in a greenfield environment within the media sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data models and pipelines on Snowflake using Snowpark and SQL
- Build data-facing application layers using frameworks like Streamlit
- Develop and iterate on greenfield product features for AI Solutions Pod and Rights360
- Utilize Snowflake Cortex AI ML services for forecasting, profitability modeling, and agentic features
- Contribute to real-time inventory and rights conflict detection capabilities
- Collaborate with the shared tech lead across multiple work streams
- Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and maintainable data systems from data pipelines to user dashboards
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational data.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, or solid experience with similar platforms such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
- Experience in data modelling and building scalable data pipelines.
- Experience building data-facing applications using frameworks such as Streamlit, Dash, Flask, or similar.
- Comfortable working across the stack, from data engineering to user-facing applications.
- Practical, production-focused mindset with an emphasis on clean, maintainable, and reliable code.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, greenfield environment.
