Job Description
The APX Market Operations Support Specialist is responsible for facilitating wholesale electricity transactions and providing client support across various power market operations. This role involves real-time operations, client communication, market research, and maintaining operational documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients in resource management dispatch and outage management
- Facilitate day-ahead and real-time transaction scheduling
- Provide helpdesk support for MarketSuite and APX System Infrastructure
- Monitor NERC E-Tags and make necessary adjustments
- Ensure valid submissions for client portfolios before market deadlines
- Escalate and address system emergencies according to operating procedures
- Assist with internal system testing
- Maintain and develop operational documentation
- Report daily on market and client activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or technical field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to react to quickly changing priorities and strict deadlines
- Strong analytic skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shift work, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Benefits & Perks
Compensation range: $60,000 to $75,000 in California
