Job Description

The base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, plus equity in the form of stock options.

Key Responsibilities

  • We have an amazing opportunity for an energetic, detail-oriented, and industrious analyst to solve hard problems and push renewable energy forward. We’re looking for someone who works quickly and efficiently, has an eye for detail, and is inspired by a challenge. Our team is rapidly acquiring commercial customers and developing solar across the country alongside our national network of solar partners, and we need your help!
  • Specifically, you’ll join our Asset Management team and help us answer a deceptively hard question every day: is each of our solar systems producing what it should be, and if not, why? You’ll compare live production data against weather-adjusted performance models to spot underperformance, dig into inverter and meter data to diagnose the cause, and drive the fix with our construction partners. The answer is different every time, and the processes and tooling we use to get to it are still being built. You’ll help build them. You’ll also help keep the commercial side of the portfolio running: tracking revenue and lease payments, processing annual PPA and lease rate escalations, and building the reporting our customers rely on.
  • If you get excited about unlocking the untapped commercial and industrial market, joining a team designed for hyper-growth, and building an organization aimed at saving the world, then this is the role for you.

Requirements

  • You Have a Technical Foundation - You have 1-2+ years of experience or are a recent graduate with a solid foundation from a previous internship, part time, or full time role. We’re especially excited about candidates with an electrical background, whether that’s a degree in Electrical Engineering, time in the trades as an electrician, or hands-on experience with power systems, controls, or instrumentation. If you can look at a single-line diagram and reason about what’s happening on the DC and AC sides of a system, you’ll hit the ground running.
  • You’re a Methodical Troubleshooter - Most of our systems are hundreds of miles away, so diagnosis happens through data rather than walking the array. You form a hypothesis, test it, rule it out, and move to the next one, instead of guessing and hoping. You know the difference between a number that looks wrong and a number that is wrong, and you execute intentional steps to determine the root cause.
  • Excellent Written & Oral Communication - You have clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. In this role you might talk through a fault with a service technician on a roof in the morning and write a portfolio update to a customer that afternoon. You can communicate clearly to either audience without losing the substance.
  • You’re Eager and Ready to Learn - You are at the beginning of an exciting career and you’re ready to get your feet wet and learn how a commercial solar system actually behaves once it’s energized: the hardware that runs it, the failure modes that quietly erode its performance, and the contracts that turn it into a business. You want to get your hands dirty and try new things, all while saving the planet.
  • You Have a Team Ethos - You thrive in a creative, inventive, fast-paced rapid-growth environment, with people who are passionate about their work and mission. You’re not just excited to work cross-functionally, you crave it.
  • You Believe That No Problem is Too Hard - In an industry where people are constantly stuck, we find ways to get it done. You know how to articulate and roll out solutions, recognizing there are many solutions to the same problem. You find new and effective ways to streamline and create processes to increase efficiency.
  • Located in Boulder or Denver, CO - Candidates must currently live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Boulder/Denver area.
