The Water Wastewater Stormwater Project Manager oversees and manages engineering projects related to water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure, leading technical teams through planning, design, construction, and operations phases while engaging with clients and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project teams through planning, design, construction, start-up, and operations of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
Provide engineering support on drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater projects.
Lead the technical delivery of multiple projects, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
Engage with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand and support their needs.
Evaluate, plan, design, and construct water, wastewater, and stormwater systems and infrastructure.
Support marketing and proposal efforts for new projects.
Requirements
Provide engineering support on drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater projects.
Manage project teams from the planning, preliminary design, final design, construction phases, start-up, and operations of facilities or infrastructure.
Lead the technical delivery of multiple projects related to water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
Engage with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand and support their needs.
Possess strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater infrastructure and systems.
Be familiar with local and federal regulations applicable to water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
Support marketing and proposal efforts for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
Have experience working with and leading junior and mid-level staff, as well as collaborating with mid- and senior-level technical staff and leadership across the organization.
Possess broad familiarity with issues related to water, wastewater, or stormwater, including master planning, treatment, distribution, collection systems, flood risk mitigation, watershed management, and stormwater conveyance.
Be a technically focused individual with the ability to evaluate, plan, design, and support construction of relevant infrastructure.
Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in water, wastewater, or stormwater engineering.
Demonstrate ability to understand and interpret local and federal regulations related to water infrastructure projects.
Support proposal development and marketing efforts related to water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
Possess a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Be able to work in Southern California (Los Angeles or San Diego) and travel locally as required.
