Job Description
The Water and Wastewater Treatment Project Manager oversees the daily operations, maintenance, safety, and client communication for water and wastewater treatment facilities, managing a team of union employees and responding to emergency events as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee safety, daily operations, and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Manage administrative duties and maintain close communication with clients
- Supervise a team of 4 union employees in operations and maintenance activities
- Respond to emergency events, alarm call-outs, and be available for standby and on-call duties
Requirements
- Experience overseeing the safety, day-to-day operations, and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Ability to maintain close client communications related to water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Experience supervising a staff of at least 4 union employees in the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities, collections, distribution, and customer service duties.
- Availability for standby duty and the ability to be on-call, working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to respond to emergency events and alarm call-outs as scheduled and required.
- Schedule reliable and dependable attendance, with typical hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications related to water treatment is preferred but not explicitly required.
- Physical ability to perform duties related to water and wastewater treatment operations, including responding to emergency events and alarm call-outs.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols in water and wastewater treatment operations.
