Job Description
The Wastewater Senior Technical Manager leads and manages municipal wastewater engineering projects, overseeing design, planning, and delivery from concept to operations, while supporting business development and mentoring junior staff in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- •Lead and support engineering projects related to municipal wastewater systems, including study, planning, and design.
- •Manage and grow the South Region Wastewater Team and multi-discipline project teams through various project phases.
- •Oversee technical delivery of multiple wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- •Mentor and collaborate with junior staff members.
- •Support marketing and proposal efforts for wastewater projects.
Requirements
- •The candidate must be a Senior Project or Technical Manager with solid experience in the study, planning, and design of wastewater systems, including familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, treatment, and collection distribution in water or wastewater systems.
- •The candidate must have experience leading and supporting the engineering on municipal wastewater projects.
- •The candidate must be familiar with local regulators relevant to wastewater projects.
- •The candidate must have the ability to lead the technical delivery of multiple projects.
- •The candidate must support marketing and proposal efforts, as appropriate.
- •The candidate must have experience with wastewater collection and treatment systems for both public and private sectors, and with drinking water distribution and treatment systems for both public and private sectors, as well as stormwater resiliency and water quality projects for both public and private sectors, and membrane treatment of municipal and industrial water and wastewater.
- •The candidate must have the ability to direct and collaborate with a team of junior staff.
- •The candidate must have a flexible remote hybrid work schedule with an expectation of 1 day in the office or onsite with clients.
- •The candidate must be willing to travel up to 10 clients within the Central Florida region within a 3-hour radius of Tampa office.
