The Wastewater Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of industrial wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance and responding to emergencies, on a rotating shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in daily operations and maintenance of industrial wastewater treatment systems as directed by the Project Manager
Respond to emergency or unpredicted situations during on-call rotations
Assist in covering additional shifts as needed
Requirements
Possession of a valid certification as an Industrial Wastewater Operator or equivalent industry certification (implied by the company's support for earning, upgrading, and maintaining certifications).
Experience participating in the daily operations and maintenance of Industrial Wastewater Treatment Systems, with a clear understanding of treatment plant processes.
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays, and outside normal work hours, and respond to emergency or unpredicted situations promptly.
Willingness to work a 12:00 am to 12:00 pm shift schedule, including occasional coverage of additional shifts as needed.
Ability to work a rotating schedule: Week one - 2 days on Monday and Tuesday, 2 days off Wednesday and Thursday, 3 days on Friday through Sunday; Week two - 2 days off Monday and Tuesday, 2 days on Wednesday and Thursday, 3 days off Friday through Sunday.
Physical ability to perform tasks related to operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, which may include manual labor, lifting, and responding to emergency situations.
Participation in an on-call rotation, indicating availability outside normal working hours for emergency response.
Understanding that the role involves working in a wastewater treatment environment, which may require adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment.
