A Stormwater Project Engineer supporting the design, permitting, and construction of stormwater and flood resiliency projects for municipal clients across the New York, New Jersey, and New England regions, focusing on flood risk mitigation and water quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with municipal clients to develop, design, permit, and provide construction services for stormwater and flood resiliency projects.
Support evaluation, planning, and design of urban stormwater solutions including flood risk mitigation and stormwater conveyance.
Assist in construction oversight and implementation of stormwater management projects.
Coordinate with project teams, technical specialists, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements
Support a diverse variety of stormwater and flood resiliency projects by working with client and project managers, technical specialists, and other engineers to evaluate, plan, design, and construct urban stormwater solutions, including flood risk mitigation, stormwater conveyance, stormwater quality, and programmatic funding.
Be detail-oriented and capable of supporting projects primarily spanning across five geographies in New York and the northeast, with the opportunity to engage on projects around the country.
Collaborate with Municipal clients to develop, design, permit, and provide construction services for projects across the New York, New Jersey, and New England regions.
Work in a flexible remote hybrid schedule with an expectation of 1 to 2 days in the office or onsite with clients.
Travel up to 20 clients within the New York, New Jersey, and New England regions.
Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience supporting stormwater and flood resiliency projects.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing urban stormwater solutions, including flood risk mitigation, stormwater conveyance, and stormwater quality improvements.
Possess the ability to work with teams and clients effectively, supporting project evaluation, planning, design, and construction activities.
Be capable of supporting programmatic funding efforts related to stormwater projects.
Be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
Have the physical ability to perform work that may include site visits and onsite inspections, as needed.
