Job Description

The Lead Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting the daily operations and maintenance of an industrial wastewater treatment facility, performing mechanical and electrical repairs, process monitoring, and responding to emergency situations to ensure compliance and efficient plant operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility
  • Monitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Perform mechanical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, HVAC equipment, and electrical systems
  • Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed
  • Participate in on-call rotation for plant coverage outside normal hours
  • Work on remediation and construction projects at the site

Requirements

  • Possess the ability to perform basic to advanced mechanical and electrical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, HVAC equipment, and various types of electrical equipment including VFDs, power systems, and more.
  • Be available to participate in an on call rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours, including weekends and holidays, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Work in inclement weather conditions as required.
  • Support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of an industrial wastewater treatment facility, including process monitoring and adjustments.
  • Schedule availability Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with rotating weekends and holiday coverage.
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (implied, as specific education requirements are not explicitly stated but are generally standard for such roles).
  • Be physically capable of working both indoors and outdoors, including working in various weather conditions and handling physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
