Job Description
The Health Safety Manager is responsible for assessing safety needs, implementing safety programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple facilities in the New England area, working closely with senior safety staff to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess health and safety needs and risks across multiple facilities
- Assist in implementing safety programs and policies
- Create systems, procedures, and tools to effectively enforce corporate safety programs
Requirements
- Possess a Health Safety or related applied science degree.
- Have at least ten years of progressive safety experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in assessing health safety needs and risks across multiple facilities.
- Experience in assisting with the implementation of safety programs and policies.
- Experience in creating systems, procedures, and tools necessary to effectively implement corporate safety programs and policies.
- Ability to provide guidance and assistance to internal clients regarding regulatory and company compliance requirements related to health and safety.
- Willingness to work primarily in the New England area, specifically in MA, ME, NH, and CT.
- Ability to work closely with senior safety management, safety specialists, and executive leadership.
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory and company safety compliance requirements.
