Job Description
The position is for an entry-level engineer, scientist, or geologist to assist with environmental engineering tasks related to site investigation and remediation projects, working closely with experienced professionals to address water and environmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with environmental engineering tasks for site investigation and remediation projects
- Support the characterization of contaminated sites
- Design and operate remediation systems
- Monitor systems and manage data tracking and reporting
- Conduct field investigations and develop work plans
- Analyze and report data
- Prepare technical reports and regulatory documents
- Oversee monitoring well installation, drilling, and construction activities
Requirements
- 1-4 years experience in environmental consulting.
- B.A. or B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Environmental Science or related field.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including GIS, Word, Excel, and database software.
- Ability to assist with environmental engineering tasks for site investigation and remediation projects.
- Ability to support the characterization of contaminated sites, remediation system design and operation, system monitoring, data management tracking and reporting.
- Ability to conduct field investigations, develop work plans, analyze and report data, prepare technical reports, prepare regulatory documents, and monitor well installation, drilling, construction and other subcontractor oversight.
- Ability to work both independently and within teams.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to project sites in the Western United States.
