Job Description
The Drinking Water Project Engineer will collaborate with municipal clients to develop, design, and deliver drinking water systems projects across the New England region, focusing on technical evaluation, planning, design, and construction of water treatment and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with municipal clients to develop, design, and deliver drinking water projects.
- Evaluate, plan, design, and oversee the construction of drinking water systems.
- Lead the technical delivery of multiple water projects in coordination with project and technical managers.
- Work directly with clients and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Support marketing and proposal efforts for new projects.
Requirements
- A Professional Engineer license (PE) is required.
- Strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water systems is required.
- Familiarity with a broad range of practice areas including master planning, permitting, treatment, and distribution systems is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with municipal clients to develop, design, and deliver drinking water projects across the New England region (Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut).
- Experience in leading the technical delivery of multiple projects in collaboration with project and technical managers.
- Ability to work directly with clients and internal teams to support project execution.
- Willingness to support marketing and proposal efforts related to drinking water projects.
- Availability to work a flexible remote/hybrid schedule with 2 to 3 days in the office or onsite with clients.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% within the New England region to client sites.
