Job Description

The Collections Utility Worker is responsible for operating and maintaining water and wastewater facilities, equipment, and process controls as part of a team, ensuring efficient system management and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain water and wastewater facilities and equipment
  • Monitor and control processes at water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of systems and equipment

Requirements

  • Possession of a valid license to operate water and wastewater facilities (for licensed positions) or willingness to obtain such license (for inexperienced individuals seeking their first full-time job).
  • Ability to operate and maintain facilities, equipment, and process control systems at water and wastewater facilities.
  • Availability to work a schedule that includes winter hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm plus overtime, and summer hours from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
  • Willingness to work overtime as the position is eligible for overtime pay.
  • Ability to work as part of a team responsible for the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
