Job Description

This position involves operating and maintaining water and wastewater facilities, equipment, and process controls, suitable for both inexperienced individuals seeking their first full-time job and experienced professionals looking to advance their careers in water utility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain water and wastewater facilities and equipment
  • Monitor and control processes at water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of system components

Requirements

  • Possess the ability to operate and maintain facilities, equipment, and process control systems at water and wastewater facilities as part of a team.
  • Have a valid license if applying for a licensed position in water and wastewater utilities.
  • Be willing to work a schedule that includes winter hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm plus overtime, and summer hours from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
  • Demonstrate proficiency, integrity, creativity, and tenacity in managing water and wastewater systems.
  • Be able to work full-time in a role that may involve overtime eligibility.
  • Have a minimum of some experience or willingness to learn in water and wastewater operations and maintenance, including those seeking their first full-time job in this field.
  • Be physically capable of performing job duties which may include operating equipment and facilities at water and wastewater sites.
  • Be committed to working in accordance with safety and operational standards for water and wastewater systems.

  • Work schedule: Winter Schedule 7:30am - 4:00pm plus overtime, Summer Schedule 6:30am - 3:00pm
