Job Description
The Product Manager for Onboarding Enrollment at Voltus is responsible for streamlining and managing the process of onboarding distributed energy resources, from initial signup to market eligibility, by developing strategies, improving workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maximize enrollment efficiency and volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive outcomes related to onboarding and enrollment of distributed energy resources (DERs) from initial signup to market-eligibility.
- Simplify complex processes involving distribution utilities, energy markets, and customer circumstances to maximize eligible megawatts under management.
- Research user and market needs, define vision and strategy, and establish roadmaps for onboarding processes.
- Prioritize and implement self-serve capabilities to increase enrollment throughput and reduce authorization time.
- Design flexible onboarding and enrollment flows tailored to different customer and market types.
- Manage cross-functional teams including GTM, design engineering, customer success, and energy markets to execute initiatives.
- Measure and analyze the impact of onboarding and enrollment initiatives to optimize outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience in product management, specifically owning and driving outcomes associated with onboarding and enrollment processes for distributed energy resources (DERs) or similar complex systems.
- Ability to research user and market needs, define vision and strategy, establish roadmaps, prioritize outcomes, run experiments, manage cross-functional execution, and measure the impact of initiatives.
- Proven track record of reducing time-to-authorization processes from weeks to days.
- Experience designing flexible onboarding and enrollment flows that adapt to different customer and market circumstances, such as large single facilities versus multi-site enterprises.
- Strong technical capabilities with the ability to simplify complex concepts and deep dive into issues quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a strong bias toward action and a team-oriented mindset, eager to learn and collaborate with colleagues.
