Job Description
A part-time remote role leading dispatch operations to activate distributed energy resources in North America, focusing on delivering power during grid dispatches, while providing strategic coverage from the United Kingdom during early mornings on weekends and weekdays.
Key Responsibilities
- Activate distributed energy resources to deliver megawatts during dispatches in response to grid needs
- Monitor and scrutinize processes, systems, and tools to ensure efficient dispatch operations
- Support strategic projects related to dispatch operations and grid management
- Provide strategic coverage during North American night early mornings on weekends and specific weekdays
- Participate in weekly team meetings and provide occasional spot coverage as needed
Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work from their home location in the United Kingdom; Voltus does not sponsor visas or transfers for new hires.
- Candidates must be able to work 4-hour shifts between 9am - 1pm GMT from Saturday through Tuesday, providing strategic coverage during North America night early morning on weekends, Mondays, and Tuesdays.
- Candidates must be reliable and available to work during the specified shift times and provide occasional spot coverage as needed.
- Candidates must participate in 1-2 hours of weekly team meetings.
- Candidates must have the ability to work remotely from their home country, with approval required for working while traveling to other countries, in accordance with the Global Remote Travel Policy.
- Candidates must be committed to working in a shift-based schedule that supports a 24/7 operational environment.
- Candidates must demonstrate a strong sense of reliability and availability to succeed in a shift-based role.
- Candidates must be interested in learning about grid operators, utilities in North America, and distributed energy resources, and be willing to build operational experience across diverse systems and processes.
