Job Description
The Dispatch Operations Associate at Voltus is responsible for activating distributed energy resources during grid dispatches across North America, supporting the decarbonization of the electric grid, and gaining operational experience in a remote, shift-based role focused on energy management and grid reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Activate distributed energy resources to deliver megawatts to the grid during dispatches
- Monitor and respond to grid operator and utility requests across North America
- Interact with large industrial and commercial energy users
- Scrutinize and improve processes, systems, and tools to ensure efficient dispatch execution
- Support strategic projects related to dispatch operations
Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work from their home location in the US or Canada, unless otherwise indicated on the role description.
- Candidates must be able to work 8-hour weekday shifts between 9am - 5pm PT.
- Candidates must be available and reliable to work during North America evening hours in U.S. Pacific or Mountain time zones.
- Candidates must be able to provide occasional spot coverage as needed.
- Candidates must be able to work remotely, with no requirement for a physical commute.
- Candidates must not require visa sponsorship or transfers for employment at Voltus.
- Candidates must be able to work primarily from their home country, with travel to other countries requiring approval as per the Global Remote Travel Policy.
