Job Description

The Key Account Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales of residential products within the National New Build and Social Housing sectors, focusing on framework and tender submissions, building partnerships, and expanding customer relationships to secure new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sales of residential product portfolio within National New Build and Social Housing channels
  • Complete framework and tender submissions
  • Liaise with key decision makers to build long-term partnerships
  • Secure specification of Carrier RLC products and value-added services
  • Support existing Residential and Commercial sales teams
  • Grow portfolio of sales and secure new business with new customers
  • Complete Public Private Sector Supply Chain Frameworks
  • Acquire understanding of key customer needs and how Carrier RLC Products support Net Zero targets
  • Expand relationships with existing customers and resolve issues
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts using key account metrics

Requirements

  • A full understanding of the specification process and route to market.
  • Expert market knowledge of the heating and heat pump sector, gained from experience in manufacturing sales.
  • Proven work experience as key account manager or pricing framework manager with a good success rating.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Self-motivated, target orientated, proactive in approach with solid commercial acumen and an ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics.
  • Experience with presentations, reports, managing budgets, and able to conduct meetings.
  • Full UK Driving License, willing to travel nationally throughout the UK, Wales, and Scotland.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Google.
