Job Description
The Finance Data Tools and Processes Specialist is responsible for developing and managing financial data structures, ensuring data quality and accuracy, and supporting reporting and compliance through collaboration with cross-functional teams in a finance-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage data structures and organization for finance and reporting tools
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial data
- Create and maintain data quality frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Conduct data validation and monitoring activities to identify and resolve data quality issues
- Develop data quality metrics and dashboards to monitor performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and resolve data-related issues
- Provide training and mentorship on data quality standards, tools, and techniques
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in database design, data modeling, and data structure optimization
- Experience with controlling software systems and SAP
- Fluent English and German language skills
- Experience in developing and implementing data quality frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness in financial reporting and analysis
- Experience in crafting and executing data validation and monitoring activities to identify and resolve data quality issues
- Experience in developing data quality metrics and dashboards to supervise and report on performance
- Experience in identifying areas for process improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Experience collaborating with finance teams, IT, and other business units to understand data requirements, resolve data-related issues, and provide mentorship on best practices
- Experience conducting training sessions and workshops to educate stakeholders on data quality standards, tools, and techniques
