Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the project team for the development of new products.
- Lead the design of new products or re-engineer existing ones, collaborating with Marketing, Sales Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the customer’s needs.
- Take operational responsibility for the thermodynamic design and performance calculations of assigned projects.
- Ensure that the project follows the NPDI process.
- Develop reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for schedule and cost.
- Identify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slip. Identify key risks and have a contingency plan.
- Communicate with other managers, upper management, or outside vendors and other plants, as required.
- Support product production transfer from and to other locations, interface with main center of expertise, understand and manage bill of materials.
- Deliver a fast and customer focused response on engineered to order projects, where a new solution is based on an existing and well-proven platform.
- Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high performance, cost effective design and market leading innovation.
- Approve and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material, manuals).
- Meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.
- Analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.
- Validate of HVAC components and system models with data laboratory tests.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all regions to enhance global designs.
